MHSA students perform on WISN "Season to Celebrate"

Members of the Vocal Jazz Ensemble and Concert Chorale from Milwaukee High School of the Arts will be part of the holiday lineup on Monday, December 24 on WISN’s annual special, Season to Celebrate. The show airs at 11 p.m. on Channel 12.

The Jazz Ensemble, made up of juniors and seniors from Milwaukee High School of the Arts, taped their performances at Milwaukee’s Pabst Theatre. The program features various historic and unique Milwaukee venues throughout the show.

The Concert Chorale will be performing Ndikhokhele Bawo, a traditional South African carol in the Xhosa dialect. The Vocal Jazz Ensemble will perform That's Christmas to Me, a holiday tune by the renowned a capella group Pentatonix. They will also be performing Jingle Bell Rock, arranged by senior member, Ebony Zemlicka.

Choral Director Raymond Roberts shared that students were "phenomenal ambassadors" for both their school and MPS.
