Have you selected your student's middle or high school for Fall 2019? Improve your chances of getting your first-choice school and enroll by November 10, 2018.
Early Admissions for MPS high schools and middle schools for Fall 2019 is now open. Families should research schools, attend open house events, learn about programs and transportation, and find the best fit for student needs such as bilingual programs, art, music, college prep, career pathways, special education, and more. Enrolling early improves the chances of students getting their first-choice school.
MPS has more Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) options than ever! This year, Pulaski became MPS’ fourth IB high school, and AP courses are expanding and now available in eighteen MPS high schools. In addition, telepresence through video conferencing has greatly increased access to AP courses, allowing students to take courses offered at other schools in the district without leaving their own school.
Early Admissions is open until November 10, 2018, when families must submit their enrollment applications. Families of young people applying for schools with selection requirements must submit required information by this deadline. Current MPS students do not need to submit academic data or essays; this will be provided by the school. Parents can get help with applications and learn about schools with selection criteria during district Help Sessions.
For more information on Early Admissions, call MPS schools, call the district enrollment office at (414) 475-8448, or visit our enrollment page. Families can register online, at any MPS school (this does not improve the chance of being placed at the school), at Help Sessions, or at MPS Central Services, 5225 W. Vliet St., Milwaukee, 53208.
