Applebee's fundraiser to help replace AEDs

AED

Milwaukee Public Schools is well-equipped for medical emergencies with Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) at all our schools. These life-saving devices are effective for about 10 years, after which their batteries weaken and the devices must be replaced. Fundraising is underway to help replace more than 100 AEDs that will soon be phased out.

The cost of a single AED is about $1,200, so help is needed to ensure that every school’s device is replaced on schedule. You can help simply by dining out!

Three area Applebee’s restaurants will donate 15% of their profits from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Sunday, February 25, 2018. Only diners who present a fundraising flyer will have their purchases benefit MPS. Download a flyer here.

Participating restaurants are:

  • Wauwatosa Applebee’s: 6750 W. State Street
  • Glendale Applebee’s: 5664 N. Port Washington Road
  • Milwaukee Applebee’s: 270 W. Holt Avenue

At least two MPS students have been saved through the use of an in-school AED. Help ensure the safety of our students, staff, and community by supporting this event.
