LocationDEPT OF ORGANIZATIONAL DEVEL.

  • Works with induction team to differentiate support of new educators and second or third year educators for further development of the skill set.  Establishes an induction support system for educators to share information at the District and School level.
  • Tracks the educators who are not new to the profession, but who have less than five years of experience in the classroom.
  • Develops and coordinates professional development sessions for educators, allowing them to share successes from their experience and to counsel one-another on next steps for development.
  • Collaborates with various district personnel to and departments to provide support that leads to improved instruction and student achievement.  Visits the schools and takes information from school administrators as to what skills the new teachers may lack.
  • Provides guidance and support to the second through fifth year teachers in understanding the licensing requirements for the Department of Public Instruction.
  • Activity supports inductions's commitment to support the educator effectiveness model and the teacher's role within the model.
  • Establishes linkages with local educational organizations that may provide helpful resources for MPS educators.
  • Actively supports the MPS Strategic Plan.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
