  • Works with Organizational Development staff to implement an agressive strategic recruitment plan to attract candidates to pursue careers in education.
  • Provide support for and assists in the development of course work for students to pursue at MPS University
  • Creates strategies that will provide Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) with a diverse student pool that reflects the diversity of the District.
  • Organizes and coordinates recruitment and instructional fairs for individuals to learn about the MPS pipeline programs.
  • Establishe  linkages with local educational organizations that may be helpful resources to attract educators
  • Create marketing materials and develop forms and newsletters to promote the programs offered by MPS in collaboration with other institutions: UWM, M3, MTEC, etc.
  • Works closely with educators to ensure identified candidates successfully enter into the pipeline.  Participates in the intial screening and/or interviews.
  • Counsels and communicates with applicants regarding the necessary coursework for success.
  • Collects and analyzes recruitment data to determine the most viable methods for MPS students to achieve the outlined goals.
  • Collaborates with school staff and promotes career awareness and planning.
  • Monitors progress for the career-based education and provides department with monthly and annual data reports.
  • Actively supports the MPS Strategic Plan.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
